Yue (Joy) Zheng serves as Technical Development Manager for North America at CFS, supporting food processors across diverse product categories and manufacturing environments. Since joining CFS in 2014, she has helped food manufacturers worldwide develop practical, science-based solutions that strengthen microbiological food safety, sanitation, and operational performance.
Yue earned her M.S. in Food Safety and Technology, with a concentration in Food Microbiology, from the Illinois Institute of Technology/Institute for Food Safety and Health (IFSH), where she collaborated with FDA researchers on sanitation protocols for nut butter processing and High Pressure Processing (HPP) validation studies. She also holds a B.S. in Food Science and Engineering from Sichuan University.
With experience in both plant and corporate FSQA leadership roles, Yue is passionate about risk mitigation, continuous improvement, and building technical capabilities within organizations. She is a regular peer reviewer for the Journal of Food Protection and is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.
