What is the agenda for the Advanced Food Industry Leadership Training?

A blend of Classroom Sessions and Application Workshops on the following Topics

  • Leadership

Monday Night: Official Training Kickoff followed by Participant Dinner

The training officially starts on Monday evening. This is an compulsory part of the training.

 

Wednesday Night: Participant Dinner and Team Event

What should I wear to training?

Please dress comfortably for the training*, it is recommended that you wear closed toe and comfortable shoes (no safety shoes required) as well as long pants. The training room / workshop areas can be cold, please feel free to bring a jacket or sweater.

 

Group dinners immediately follow the training.

 

*Sanitation Essentials Training: There is the potential for getting wet and perspiring during the wet cleaning workshop. Some participants choose to bring an extra set of clothes to change into.

I have food allergies who should I tell?

There is a section on the registration form where you can input your food allergies or restrictions.

 

If you have not filled this information out, please be sure to email training@cf-san.com with the date of the training you are attending and any food allergies or dietary restrictions.

Where can I find the training materials online?

At this time we do not give out electronic copies of any training materials. You will receive a training workbook at the start of the session.

What time does the transportation arrive?

If you stay at the hotel recommended by Commercial Food Sanitation, the transportation to and from the training location is included. Departure times differ slightly per location (New Orleans, Amsterdam or Shanghai).

Exact departure times and meeting point will be communicated to you via email the week prior to the training start.

What meals are included in training?

Lunch will be provided on any days that go longer 1:00 p.m.

 

For Sanitation Essentials Training and Hygienic Design Training a group dinner is included on Tuesday night.

For Advanced Food Industry Leadership Training two group dinners (Monday and Wednesday night) and a fun team building event are included.

How do I get my certificate?

Sanitation Essentials Training and Hygienic Design Training

To be eligible for a certificate of completion you must 1) attend the entire training session and 2) share what you have learned with team members at your company.

 

Teamwork is critical to the success of Sanitation and Food Safety. Learning retention is also increased through application and teaching.

In order to receive your certificate you are required to share your key learnings with your colleagues. Please send proof of your shared learnings in any format to training@cf-san.com within 90 days.

After submitting you will receive your certificate via email.

 

 

Advanced Food Industry Leadership Training

After successful completion of the Advanced Training, which includes passing the individual test at the end of training, participants will be honored with the “CFS Certified Food Industry Professional” recognition.
You will
receive the formal recognition on the last day of Advanced Training.

Hotel and Training Location

Can I stay in a hotel / accommodation other the one recommended?

That is perfectly fine. However, you should plan to arrive at the training facility at least 15 minutes before the training starts.

Where can I find the hotel information?

You are responsible for booking your own hotel room, however we have a group rate at our recommended hotel located near the training session. Transportation between this hotel and the training facility is included in the training fee.

 

The link to book the hotel at the group rate is located on the registration page of the training session. We will also send you a confirmation email shortly after you register that contains the link to reserve your hotel room.

What is the address for the training facility?

Intralox allows us to use their facilities globally to host our training sessions. We offer training year round in New Orleans, Amsterdam and Shanghai.

Cost

How much does the training cost?

Sanitation Essentials Training and Hygienic Design Training

Training courses are offered in New Orleans (LA, USA), Amsterdam (The Netherlands) and Shanghai (China).

 

The training fee is respectively USD 1,395 / EUR 1,195 / RMB 7,800.

If you register 2 months before the training starts, you are eligible for an early bird discount and pay only USD 1,195 / EUR 995 / RMB 6,500.

 

Training fee includes classroom and workshop set up, handouts of training materials, certification, lunch, and a group dinner.

Travel and hotel costs are not included.

 

 

Advanced Food Industry Leadership Training

Training course is offered in New Orleans (LA, USA) only.

The training fee is  USD 3,000.

If you register 2 months before the training starts, you are eligible for an early bird discount and pay only USD 2,800.

Advanced Training fee includes classroom and workshop set up, handouts of training materials, lunch, two group dinners, and a fun team building activity.

Travel and hotel costs are not included.

Cancellation

What if I cannot attend?

Cancellations, student changes or transfers need to be requested in writing via training@cf-san.com, and will be honored according to the below policy.

 

  • Cancellation requests made more than 30 days prior to a training start date will be granted a 50% refund.
    No refunds can be granted for events that are less than 30 days away.

 

  • Transfer requests made more than 30 days prior to a training start date will be honored and processed free of charge. Your registration can be moved to a training of your choice (provided that training is not fully booked) that is scheduled within a year from your original reservation. Please inform us via email stating original training name and date, as well as new training name and date at training@cf-san.com. We are not responsible for changing travel and hotel arrangements.

 

  • In the event that you cannot attend a training, but a colleague would like to take your place, we are able to accommodate a student change. Student change requests are granted until 2 working days prior to a training start date and processed free of charge. Please inform us via email stating training name and date, original registrant details as well as replacement student details at training@cf-san.com. We are not responsible for changing travel and hotel arrangements.

 

  • We will be unable to grant refunds or transfers for any no shows.

What if I have to leave early?

Sanitation Essentials Training and Hygienic Design Training

In order to receive your certificate of completion you must attend the entire training session. If you leave early or miss any part of the training you will not receive your certificate and will not have completed the prerequisite to attend the Advanced Food Industry Leadership Training.

 

Advanced Food Industry Leadership Training

In order to be become a “CFS Certified Food Industry Professional” you must attend the entire training session. The individual test takes place on the last day of training, and can only be taken in the classroom. If you leave early or miss any part of the training you will not be honored with the certification.

 

Other

What does "Dedicated" mean?

Some of our customers choose to purchase an entire training session that is dedicated to their company and filled with only their employees. These sessions are not available for open enrollment.

I attended a Dairy Food Safety Workshop with a Commercial Food Sanitation Expert, is this training the same?

No. The Commercial Food Sanitation, Food Sanitation Institute training sessions are separate events and cover different topics and workshops.
